As a non-profit association based in Tourcoing, in Hauts-de-France, ESSTEAM has been working for more than 30 years close to the inhabitants to co-build a more humane, inclusive and united society. Its purpose is to develop and host sustainable social innovation actions that respond to the social and societal challenges expressed by the actors in its intervention territories. In connection with the values of popular education and those of the Social, Solidarity and Ecological Economy. 

ESSTEAM defines all of its actions around 4 transversal pillars:

• Put in place actions to promote the digital inclusion of people, especially the most vulnerable.

• Set up actions around the challenges of Sustainable Development.

• Develop support and solidarity networks in the territories.

• Promote participatory democracy and the involvement of residents, volunteers, employees and others in its areas of intervention.
