The European Development Plan of the 7th Lyceum of Larissa was designed in the context of educational reform and the need of modernization of the school so that it works more effectively providing its students European oriented education and training. The project concerns the improvement of educational practices used, staff values and attitudes, staff training methods and resulted from the need of teachers to respond in the introduction of innovative educational approaches. It aims to train teachers in the processes of self-assessment, the use of innovative methods and digital technology in teaching practice, familiarize teachers in the use of foreign languages (mainly English) and imped staff with European vision and dimension in education. Through mobility, teachers and school headmaster will be informed in hands on seminars and study visits for the operation, monitoring and self-evaluation processes in schools from other countries, they will come into contact with corresponding European teachers,they will learn how to implement innovative teaching methods.The plan will involved a group of eight school teachers who will be selected on criteria of interest, knowledge and subject specialization. They will be experienced teachers, eager to explore new methods and practices, ready to improve the work of the teacher through self-evaluation, inspired and able to train in the best way their students. By improving their skills on modern pedagogical views, acquiring greater skills in the use of ICT and practicing the use of a foreign language understand the role of education in a transnational society.Those teachers will attend training seminars in European countries organized by providers specialized on adult education. These organizations will provide appropriate information on the content of training and other practical aspects of mobility activities. The organization of visits and any other kind of support will be provided by the school under the supervision of a responsible teacher. If necessary there will be a limited preparatory stage (linguistic, ICT) teacher before mobility. Electronic communication platforms and provision of educational materials to be used in the project in order to familiarize teachers with this modern tools. Postmobility activities will be meetings to enhance knowledge and experience gained and knowledge dissemination activities (discussions, publications, using the Internet and social media). There will also be seminar evaluation activities concerning content and the impact on teachers.We expect from the implementation of the project an the overall improvement of educational work delivered at school through enriching teaching practices and strategies, by changing the attitudes and views of school teachers concerning the role of school itself and knowledge provided and how the provision of such knowledge is done efficiently. This change will have an impact on students, parents and teachers. Students will increase their performance, skills and satisfaction, parents will improve relations with the school and teachers will improve the conditions and quality of daily work.
