Embedded in the context of an international project conducted by the Erasmus+ think tanks from different European schools, the participants are planning on expanding their professional expertise regarding methodology, didactics and effective transfer of knowledge of culture and language as well as classroom implementation thereof. In fact, the education dovetails nicely with the focus of said project, namely future teacher development and exchange of professional knowledge. In the light of these observations, the participants have chosen courses that aim to provide teachers with state-of-the-art theories and practices in teaching secondary students. Besides the personal development, the school would benefit from the participants' knowledge acquired in an authentic immersion context in so far that different departments (e.g. other language teachers) could be involved in developmental and networking strategies. First and foremost, however, it is students who would benefit most as their teachers could not only teach them in a more authentic fashion, but also raise their awareness of the significance of intercultural communication and international, authentic experiences. Thus, the participants would efficiently contribute to students' understanding of European identity and the value of fruitful and respectful collaboration.
