The teachers will take part in advanced education and training at CAVILAM (Centre d'Approches Vivantes des Langues et des Médias), Vichy, France. Both teachers teach French and History (bilingual) at the Dante-Gymnasium, Munich. The Dante-Gymnasium is a German high school focusing on modern languages and one of the few Bavarian high schools which offer the possibility of a German-French high school graduation (AbiBac). Both teachers are involved in the conception of the high school graduation, annually participate in the exchanges with French schools and organize related projects. The purpose of the training sessions held in French is to improve and strengthen the French language skills, to study new innovative teaching methods, to extent their educational horizon and knowledge of French culture and actual events in France as well as to further improve their teaching skills. The training will lead to a sustainable strengthening of the skills at the Dante-Gymnasium as fellow teachers will be informed on the new methods and topics of CAVILAM. In addition, the pupils will be motivated through innovative methods, authentic materials and in-depth regional studies and intercultural skills. The cultural understanding for France and French culture will be improved and the profile of the Dante-Gymnasium will be significantly strengthened by participating in the education and training at CAVILAM.
