SharinGalicia is an student, volunteer and erasmus association settled in Galicia, Spain, which principal objective is to integrate those new guys mainly foreigners into the Galician, European culture and society. We are a space for socialization and multicultural learning. Our values are: 1) integration 2) quality 3) learning 4) fun 5) respect. We are deeply convinced that the social European integration starts with quality projects that inspire the multicultural respect in a frame of continue learning. The organization has the headquarter in Santiago de Compostela, we have an office at the University of Santiago de Compostela (International Relations Office) and we use other common spaces in order to develop our activities and receiving our members. Every week we manage sport events, music workshops, photography workshops, trips in Galicia, trekking routes, Bus trips in Spain and Portugal, meetings with other associations. Basically we have two different kind of members: 1) Spanish guys who are willing to get in contact with people of different cultures and 2) young foreigners who need to adapt themselves into the Galician or Spanish society due to their studies or practices in this land. We proudly are the link between both necessities. Most of the activities are free, others have a very low price. Every activity is going to be scheduled and we set some deadlines. Even thou we are an association of young people we trust in our non-lucrative work because we know that our help is really successful and valuable for the European society in what we believe and rely, based on the democratic ideal of equality in a multicultural ambience. Through the volunteers help it woud be possible reach our targets and spread our values. Most of daily work is members care, events and activities management, administrative tasks and basic accountancy, marketing through social networks.
