The "AHS Friesgasse", a private secondary school, aims to improve and promote the quality of language education at school in both classical foreign language teaching and in bilingual teaching as well. Specifical for this school with its main focuses on languages and natural science is a high percentage of students with non-German mother tongue. Therefore there are special challenges that language teachers have to face in their teaching. Within the framework of this project a language teacher will be sent to attend an ALM course (Advanced Language Methodology) and a natural science teacher will be sent to attend a CLIL course (Content and Language Integrated Learning). Both courses will take place in an international context, where teaching approaches outside German-speaking countries will be conveyed. The aim of participating these courses is the improvement of teacher´s qualification and thus quality assurance (and improvement) of education. Therefore the acquired know-how should be forwarded to a lesson and possible follow-ups to the rest of the staff.
