Optimizing and authenticating our foreign language and music profiles will greatly assist our school to further embrace Europe. Three colleagues took part in set courses for foreign language teachers within Europe (France, Italy and Great Britain). One music teacher took part in the project “Europa Cantat” in Hungary.
These activities conveyed extended didactic-methodical competence as well as advanced foreign language proficiency and provided a deeper insight into the country concerned. Furthermore, these courses have encouraged new contacts for student exchanges with France and Italy and enabled musical co-operations to develop.
We hope these efforts will encourage and increase the interest of our students in modern foreign languages as well as our music profile.
Through the interlink with our European partners and the resulting personal contact we hope to achieve and encourage a positive long-term attitude amongst the students towards Europe as a unity.
