The ultimate goal of our school is to prepare the students for a future in a higly gloglobalized World, where the school is expected to lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Hence, our teachers / staff needs to develop and evolve their language skills and lessons according to our society. The aim of this project was to offer our entire group of english teachers ( ESL teachers ), 11teachers, a trip to England/London where they could improve their language skills and upgrade their knowledge about English culture and get an insight on modern linguistic and pedagogical theories and teaching methods. By encouraging our teachers to participate in the professional development course: "Creative Methodology", we provided our language teachers with a greater range of techniques and tools, which they now successfully employ within their classrooms to create a positive engaging and encourgaing school climate with a good attendance rate that will contribute to the ultimate goal: higher academic scores, a good learning environment and good behavioural outcomes. The development and participation in this project has encouraged the teachers to become more satisfied with teaching as the students now show greater commitment and more actively engage with their learning. The lessons have envolved into current, relevant and updated lessons. The classes have becomed more productive due to the implementation of lessons based on authentic learning experiences. The participants have developed their individual language skills and have been encouraged to adapt new knowledge, activities and materials to their teaching. Furthermore, the course experience has encouraged the teachers to collaborate more and share knowledge and experiences at a much higher level, which is highly beneficial for the students.
