poSTRZELona młodzież w akcji! Młodzi i starsi na rzecz wspólnej polityki młodzieżowej w Strzelnie
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Jul 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project ‘’Crazy youth in action!" will be carried out by Foundation for Regional Development PROMETHEUS in cooperation with the students centered around the European Club operating at the Junior High School with Bilingual Classes in Strzelno. The main objective of the activities planned between February 1 and July 31, 2015 will be strengthening of the structured dialogue by inclusion of young people in the decision-making process, especially in matters of youth policy. To achieve this objective the project provides the preparatory action in the form of workshops for participants in the field of consultation and negotiation, in order to make young people assimilate with their role and believe in their ability to objectively discuss with those responsible for youth policy. The next stage will be meetings with decision-makers responsible for the areas associated with youth at levels: local, regional, national and international. These discussions will take the form of debates, panel discussions and consultation as well as of less formal outdoor events (eg. Schumann Parade, bike rally). The main product of the meetings of youth and decision-makers will be jointly developed (consulted with young people, policy makers and the local community) strategy for the development of youth policies designed to determine course of action in this area and to ensure consistency and continuity in the planned solutions in perspective longer than the duration of the project. Actions taken so far were incidental and ad hoc. Youth have not been treated as an entity in matters concerning them - an example of this could be investments in infrastructure (skate park, bike paths) not consulted with potential recipients. The project is expected to bring a change in this matter. Although it will be a national meeting, the European dimension of the event will be ensured through the organization of demonstrational session of the European Parliament and summary popularizing knowledge about elections and the functioning of the EP, as well as an invitation to participate for Members of European Parliament. It is also projected to popularize the results supra-regionally, for example by making the film available online and by shipment of summarizing brochures to all decision-makers invited to participate, as well as to national organizations dealing with issues of youth policy and civil society.
