Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Since the ITIS Q. Sella was founded it has had a significant educational growth, managing to respond to the needs of the area where it is placed and taking into consideration a changing society. Nowadays it offers its students a varied teaching path based on different fields, from the Applied Sciences Lyceum to the Technical School together with a lot of activities and projects that enhance the teaching offer in relation to the following fields: educational, linguistic, work-related learning and attention to students with special needs. To improve and consolidate the skills of all school staff (teachers and administrative employees), the goals of the training plan are the following: - to train a group of teachers able to offer CLIL paths; - to enhance the teaching of the foreign language in order to offer the students more opportunities to find a job; as regards the amministrative employees our objective is to improve the relationships with foreign students and their families to facilitate integration; - to use better ICT in teaching and in every daily practice, to meet the needs of digital native users and to make more productive work in class; - to acquire Project Management competences to carry out new Erasmus Projects better. 21 teachers and 4 administrative employees will take part to the training project. Courses will last from one to two weeks and will be done in England, Greece and Malta. During these training periods the staff will be permanently in touch with the school to check everything works correctly and meet any requirements. At the end, the Project Commision will prepare proper forms for a first objective feedback on the strenghts and weaknesses of the training undertaken. A report will be required about the newly acquired skills, testing that the goals of the training plan of SGQ have been achieved. Based on the results obtained, the POF will be integrated with new educational offerings. Furthermore courses and meetings will be held in the school and in other schools and local organizations to disseminate the most relevant contents. An evaluation and dissemination plan has been provided to evaluate the activities with a list of indicators (impact, results and user satisfaction) and to disseminate the results at different levels (the "Consiglio di Classe", the Subject Department and the External Contexts). The project will be supported by the Head Office even after the end of the mobility, because the programme, linked to the highlighted areas, will be included in a specific training plan prepared in accordance with the regulations UNI EN ISO 9001:2008. Moreover, thanks to the courses attended and the Europroject Team, a bilateral partnership KA2 for the Lyceum and a KA2 VET strategic partnership will be implemented. Next year a KA1 will be submitted in which the training activity will be carried on and addressed to other staff, and one or more job shadowings, for the staff involved in this year training schedule, will be planned.
