Our preschool and primary schools are in Realville, a small village near Montauban. Three out of nine teachers have already taken a training course with Comenius. The head teacher provides instruction and training to future teachers. Her favourite subject is new technology.For few years, this group has been working together, particularly in the subjects of English language and culture. We have organised DIY cooking courses, and at the end of every year, we organise highland games for all of the pupils. Our school has a good quality and efficient computer system.The two teams have thrived over the past ten years. We enjoy working together, and even if only seven of us apply this year, we would like to continue our work on this project.Goals for teachers:- linguistic and methodological improvement - knowledge about new digital equipment- reinforcement of European cultural sensibilities Goals for pupils:- improve English language level- cultural enrichment through art and music- development of European cultural sensibilities facilitated by an exchange with European partnersThree of us have already taken English courses thanks to Comenius. These students would like to continue. Four teachers are interested in participating. Three teachers do not wish to be relocated, but they remain interested in this project.Pupils will use new technologies to creating an interactive card outlining the journeys of European artists. They will research information about these artists, their works, and specific European locations and their notable monuments. They will write to European pupils through e-twinning.During the first year, we will:discover European artists (one per class)write a short biographyexperiment with artistic mediums used by these artistswrite an identity card for characteristic places in Europe with their monumentscreate an interactive card with learning appsinvite parents, mayor, etc. to an exhibition of our workDuring the second year, we will:exchange through E-twinning with European classes discover new artistssend to our pen pals identity cards for French artists and art projectscontinue work on the interactive cardinvite parents, mayor, etc. to an exhibition on the 9th of MayWe hope for:linguistic improvementtechnological improvementincreased appreciation of European cultures The main advantages of this project are to:develop an interest in Europe for pupils and their familiesbring an understanding of European culture to each family, while examining Europe as a whole consider the study of Europe as a chance for personal and professional growth
