Koknese boarding primary school - development centre as a modern education support centre for learner with special needs will be carried out the project „Koknese boarding primary school - development centre teaching staff and professional competence development” to complement the teaching staff professional knowledge and competence in providing high-quality educational process, and promote the process of the internationalization and modernization of the educational process, improve teachers and various methodological knowledge and skills for pupils with special needs education, to improve foreign language competence of the participants.The project's target group is the Koknese boarding primary school - development centre teaching staff-educators, Director, Deputy Director, special education teachers, elementary school teachers, primary school teachers, speech therapists, and social pedagogue.The project will be implemented activities – teaching staff training and professional development courses in Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal. Project „Koknese boarding primary school - development centre teaching staff and professional competence development” will help the participants gain new experience, quality and innovative, to promote cooperation in the training process and the deepening of knowledge about other countries and cultures, as well as the improvement of foreign language skills.Learning, sharing experiences, teachers will benefit not only the expertise but also the motivation for the quality of children with special needs in the educational process. The knowledge and experience acquired by teachers will work with students, parents of students and support staff, and, as a result will benefit both the pupils and their parents and the educational institution, or society in general. In the long term, the project will have a positive and lasting impact on participants in the project, will contribute to the realization of the Latvian and other European countries' educators and school cooperation , intercultural dialogue, improve the quality of education for students with special needs, as well as promote the development of innovative and modern teaching methods in everyday life, which provides both the Koknese boarding primary school - development centre and for the development of teaching staff, will contribute modernization and internationalization to the educational process and investment in sustainable development of education in Latvia.
