Our project leans towards 12th grade students with social, economical and cultural shortcomings who are preparing for the Higher Education Examination, targeting both parents and students with effective counseling in competence with the demands of a more successful academic life. Test anxiety alone causes various concerns among parents and students mainly from problems such as false interactions with social environment, motivational loss and lack of school attendance. Besides, ineffective use of time, lack of cultural and social activities have a tendency to create academic failures. One of the targets of the EU 2020 Education and Training Strategy is to increase the rate of people attending higher education to %40. This issue is also a major concern for Turkey. In this respect in order to increase this rate many studies have been carried out in secondary schools. Such concerns have been outspoken during the 'increasing academic success workshop' which was held on June 23-24 2013 by the Provincial Directorate of National Education. It is also decided to appoint educational coaches from within the teachers and to observe their counseling cooperations in select areas for 3 years. The goal of our project emerges from the need of educational coaching application, in order to eliminate existing problems. The aim of the project is to sample 8 teachers including 1 with disability and have them attend an international training, focused on personal counseling and to have them help and counsel their students accordingly, applying their training. The training has been planned as two flows, a total of 10 day training. At 50 hours total, 5 hours of the training has been reserved as interactive tutorials daily with remaining time serving for social and cultural activities. Project itself is foreshadowed to take about a year with the initial 3 months only to establish project management, project promotion, election process, cultural and linguistic preparation, official licensing and domestic/international trainings. Remaining 9 months are planned for parental and student guidance and promotions. Scope of the project includes time and stress management trainings, motivational and familial comunications seminars, social and cultural activities, corporate trainings, and parent visits. Project website, social media tools, e-twining platform and press is there to serve promotional purposes. Visual presentations, project logo, surveys, evaluations and reports, billboards, booklets and flyer advertising constitute the major products of the project. This project will also serve to establish an acquaintance for our teachers with the European values and culture, support of professional development, improvement of linguistic skills, digital skills and to provide self-confidence. As for the students, through counseling and guidance, providing a positive attitude towards life, motivation, a stress free environment, and better social skills. Students' attendance and academic success will also benefit from these improvements.
