Project background :Vocational schools in the so called dual education system are under pressure in the context of the european modificationes: They have to prepare the trainees in a precise and sustainable way to a labour market. With the changes in the regional labour markets into a European labour market the requirements at our school have changed. Our school should and wants to prepare our students for Europe and for the European labour market. That is why the teachers‘ intercultural and project management skills have to be significantly improved. This aim ist only achievable with an own experience. Intercultural skills are a multidisciplinary competence and an essential part of a Europe open school. The skills should be learned in intercultural training courses and project management training courses . Important for us is that our teachers attend the courses together with teachers from other countries , so that the cross-cultural learning can not only take place during the training course period, but also during the whole seminar time . At the same time our teachers have the opportunity to intensively meet potential project partners and plan with them school and students exchanges.Project goals: Improvement of intercultural skills and project management skills of teachers. We want to spread intercultural competences in the so called Fachoberschule: main emphasis: health and care. Comparisons of the different systems should be lead to a deeper understading as well as the own and the other system/s.The teachers should be willing to attend training courses abroad, have sufficient language skills and should be willing to spread the European idea to colleagues, students, trainees and external partners. The multiplier should be willing to integrate the European idea in teaching. Description of measures: Participation in intercultural project management training courses. The participants get a motivational thrust for intercultural learning. the participation will further achieve the european projects more effective.Methodology for project implementation: With the training courses intercultural competence shall be implemented in lessons and with the project management skills of teachers European projects shall be institutionalized.Description of the expected results, effects and potential long-term benefits: The seminar experience will boost the motivation for intercultural learning and intercultural cooperation and the work at the school with European projects will be more effective.. The training will enable teachers to inspire our teaching staff even more for European projects, and to use the project work as a means to expand the students‘ intercultural, language and social and other soft skills. By expanding these skills our students will be better prepared in the future for the demands of the European and international labour market.
