Integration türkischer Sprachgrundkenntnisse im Unterricht
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project: "Inclusion of basic turkish language knowledges in teaching" The idea for starting this project is the valorisation of multilinguism in the education sector in secondary schools. The intention is a multilinguistic communication between teachers and pupils. The pupil's first language should be used as an additional instrument besides the german language to impart knowledge and contents of the school's curriculum. During that process pupils evolve social skills, because it involves the knowledge of their first language and they have to find a way to communicate with the teacher in an equivalent dialogue. The turkish languague was chosen because of its prevailing majority as a first as well as a second language among students in the project school. During a stay abroad in Izmir the teacher Martin Deininger will attend an intensive Turkish course with a duration of 10 days, in August 2015. The long-term achievements of this project are an evolvement of the students' knowledge of their mother language, the advancement of their school performances and rising the awareness for the importance of multilinguism and the achievement of intercultural competences of all participants. The individual linguistic diversity should be seen as a positive resource for a successful life- and profession management.
