The project capitalises on the centuries long tradition of horse breading in the programme area to bring together project partners who organise knowledge exchange between the actors in this particular field. The main events include the unique cross-border show-jumping trophy aimed at improving the popularity of show jumping in the cross-border region, joint trainings, networking, and working towards the long-term aim of exploring the tourism potential of this and similar sporting events. Achievements: Building on the long tradition of horse breeding in the area, the project partners aimed at establishing a long-term relationship among the equestrian sport organisations of the cross-border region. In order to promote the sport on both sides of the border, a joint showjump championship was rganised in Osijek and in Orfű with the participation of many international representatives. The activities also included a workshop for horse trainers and informal meetings of horse breeders, trainers and keepers who shared their experiences and best practices.
