Einführung erweiterte Schulleitung
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Bavarian school system needs modern leadership structures. So far there has been the headmaster/the headmistress as the only responsible for evaluating all teachers of a school. An extended school administration with more people responsible for a smaller number of teachers is going to lead to a totally different leadership ratio. Members of an extended school administration (altogether 6 at the Hertzhaimer Gymnasium) have various tasks: staff appraisal, organization of the visists of colleagues' lessons, specific tasks in school development, etc. The members of the extended school administration are going to start their work at the beginning of the school year 2015/16 by leading staff appraisal talks and will then continue by starting to organize the visits of colleagues' lessons. From the start specific tasks of school development will be their responsibility, e.g. the organization of all-day care, the organization of the pupils' support programs. It is the aim of the project to achieve closer monitoring of teachers, not in the sense of controlling their work, but in order to make the development of lessons top priority. The visit of the course in Finnland is supposed to bring an European dimension to the project; in the end it will be the pupils who gain most of the described project and activities.
