Du und Ich gegen Rassismus!
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Jul 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project Background and Goals: The young people are confronted with the problem of racism, discrimination and intolerance. But can not defend politically. They answer to most of this problems with ignorance or aggression. They do not know the background to these problems. These are well hidden and they try the responsible the whole society. They want that everyone things that racism is a natural feeling. Through personal experience, we have analyzed that the young people must be politicized against this issue. You also need to convince other people of it, about a bit to discuss and respond. We want these young people have a basic level about this topic. They find a personal connection to this topic. The intolerance should not infect them, they should put themselves on the contrary, the diversity and tolerance. They should be able to defend themselves culturally and artistically. With stories, poems, drawings, stickers, blogs, comments, and short films, they should make it. The aggression is to be transformed into a answer! Number and profile of participants: There are 30 young people from Wörgl (Tyrol) and 30 young people from Nuremberg (and vicinity). In addition there are about 10 AkademikerInnen / leaders. Approximately 20 are school dropouts, 40 have a migrant background, most of them speach turkish and german and english, nearly 20 students; 20 pupils. Everyone had at least once kontakt with racism.. Description of activities: Two introductory phases: Project and Presentation Topics - inputs on the subject of racism, intolerance and discrimination, presentation of workshops, with registration options. The coaches / managers introduce themselves to also get a personal reference, the clubs introduce themselves and the restaurant (Hostel St. Gilgen) is presented. There are as used PowerPoint and photos made by the clubs and the restaurant media. During the lecture, questions are allowed and also to give opportunities to their own opinions known. Instead of a "strict" lecture, there should be more of a social circle. Education Camp: will be held with two seminars and four workshops. There is also free time / space for the young people to go to town or to go to the lake. (detailed in the main activities) Process for project implementation It all has to be collective, democratic and inclusive. No one should be excluded or discriminated. There will be a meeting which the position of the project explained .. you need to feel part of a whole, and this is for us the most correct method. Through the "Control" we can always pursue new developments. Brief description of the expected results and effects - long-term benefits: The result should be the commitment of young people against racism, discrimination and intolerance. It will come out various results of the workshops, but the goal is to be a response to racism in a different way. The young people will have a "political response" to this problem for this project. This is our long-term goal. Through the blog you have another contact, they do not feel as an individual case and want to make a difference together.
