Target regions (Trebišov and Leh) are characterized as low developed areas, with high unemployment status and low development potential for small and middle entrepreneurs. Despite this fact, no such project as enterprise incubator is present in target area. Achievements: The eastern part of the programme area covers less developed, post-industrial areas where the former heavy industry and agriculture suffered a decline after the system transformation. The majority of the companies went into bankrupt leaving behind rust belts, unemployment and a depressed agriculture. The two partners of the project decided to promote start-up and SME activities in the region through new, well equipped incubation houses in order to provide professional services for entrepreneurs. The building reconstructed in the city of Trebišov in Slovakia offers 26 premises for small and medium-sized enterprises, while the incubation house in Léh is able to welcome 12 companies during the incubation period.
