The Learning mobility of individuals Project KA1 CARRYING OUT THE BILINGUALISM IN A RURAL SETTING is proposed by the Secondary Education High-school Peñas Negras, which has a total of 645 students and 56 teachers during this course 2014/15. This high-school is located in Mora (Toledo), a predominantly rural and agricultural area and whose socio economic profile is medium-low.Our high-school is the only public one in the area and it is so a reference center for other nine rural villages. Multilingualism and Interculturality are two main principles in our Education Project.And following these principles, the IES PEÑAS NEGRAS has taught a Bilingual Programme since 2009. This year it belongs to a Linguistic Development Programme in which there are five CLIL teachers and a linguistic coordinator ( who is also a CLIL teacher). Four CLIL teachers will be the participants in this Learning mobility Project ( including the head teacher and the bilingual programme coordinator) for a period of two years. It´s a small number of teachers but we think a satisfactory one to improve the quality of our teaching since there will be dissemination activities later. Participant staff has been selected for their involvement, commitment and motivation level to the bilingual teaching and their CLIL training needs for the benefit of their students and the school as a whole. The selected activities are Teacher Training Activities based on CLIL methodology in the United Kingdom to get different objectives: to improve the teachers’ English language skills, to get new inspiration and perspectives on bilingual teaching, to improve the management skills, and to offer a wider educational availability in the school . In order to achieve the established goals , we have chosen courses which are taken part in an English speaking country and which conduct workshops to exchange ideas and experiences with teachers of other European nationalities who teach similar subjects in their schools. The Selected courses are: - Secondary CLIL Bilingual Course: Science and Maths - One week for physical education teachers - Collegiality across CLIL: Practical methodology on content and language integrated learning for teachers of English in Secondary and Vocational Schools and for CLIL eachers who teach subjects “bilingually”. - Practical Methodology for teachers who teach History or Geography or other Humanities and Arts Subjects bilingually in English at Secondary Level - School development and quality evaluation and enhancement in primary and seconday schools. To optimize the mobility results, several activities have been designed, such as group Works, in which the participants’ language skills will be improved and both individual and center profiles will be prepared. During this initial stage, teachers will keep on training themselves in tools such as eTwinning. The activity impact will be positive for the whole community since it will improve both the quality of the teaching and the education offer in the highschool. And at the same time, new learning opportunities will be offered to the students. Stablishing new contacts with other European teachers will contribute to the European dimension in our center. The new materials gained by the participants will be shared with the whole community through the different representative institutions. On the other hand, the high-school web page will be another powerful tool of dissemination. Since we expect that this Project will improve the high-school public image, meetings with local authorities, primary education teachers, students and their families are expected . Different and specific elements of the school reality will allow us to evaluate if the arranged activities and objectives in the Mobility Project are being fulfilled: development of a dossier of activities, carrying out surveys to the education Community, assesment of possible participants in future projects, and so on. The analysis and interpretation of the results will help to get the optimization of the investment.
