Junior High School no 3 Polskiej Macierzy Szkolnej in Czeladź undertakes a project”Digital school in Czeladź”. The project will meet the needs of school community for the improvement of ICT professional qualification in the belief that the best form of training is to acquire an experience in an international dimension. The project will be implemented in the school from 01.09.2015 to 01.09.2016. The IT training in English for the project's participants will take place at the host's place Prometeo in Rome, Italy in the period 14.02.2016-21.02.2016 (winter holiday). Eight school workers who show their outstanding commitment in a development of the Junior High School no 3 in Czeladź will take part in the training. There will be six teachers of non-IT subjects. Participation in the foreign traning will be a first time experience of an international cooperation for three people. Objectives of the project: - improvement and aquisition of ICT skills by the project participants - learning new ICT tools and how to use them - gaining knowledge of Italian heritage and establishing direct international cooperation - improving the participants' language skills - aquiring knowledge of practical ways within learning-teaching policy, especially in the ICT field Implementation of the project includes a promotional campaign, recruitment (recruitment of participants for the project), preparation of the participants to the foreign training (linguistic, cultural, psychological, IT), organizational arrangements(travel to/ from the host institution), evaluation and monitoring actions and popularizing project results . Participation of school staff in the training will enhance the quality of work in the Junior High School nr 3 through implementation of a strategic development plan for our school for the years 2015-2020 within an intensive school digitization.The school wants to develop and give a European dimension to the education process.We will spread the idea of learning throughout life, as well as the idea of education for future competence in the field of ICT and preparing young people for their work life with a good and comprehensive knowledge of the use of ICT. Participants of the project will receive an English course certificate; a participation certificate – issued by a sending institution and documents Europass-Mobility confirming aquired and improved skills. In the last stage of the project the following actions will be taken: newsletter summarizing the project, presentations, photo gallery, meetings for parents as well as for teachers, lectures for students about the project and also meetings for the organizational body representants' and other schools in Czeladź. All the above actions will popularize results of the project. After finishing the project activities the school will carry out the follow-up undertakings included in the strategic development plan of the school. During an implementation of the strategic development plan of the school,in the following years until 2020, we will present the next steps in implementation of an intensive school digitization. We will present them during school events, in a local newspapers, on the school websites and during school promotional events among parents of primary school children. Our school will take an advantage of that experience to continue an international cooperation in 2017.
