This call for proposals is for the establishment of two Galileo Information Centres in Latin America (Brazil and Chile).
The Information Centres will focus on satellite navigation programmes, European Global Navigation Satellite Systems (EGNSS), and regional activities.
This call is divided into two lots. Lot 1 is for the establishment of an Information Centre in Brazil and Lot 2 is for the establishment of an Information Centre in Chile.
The objectives of the Information Centres are to promote European satellite navigation activities, monitor local and regional satellite navigation initiatives, and provide support to users in Latin America, such as in developing new applications through cooperation between Latin American and European industry.
While the Centre in Brazil's activities will be limited to Brazil, the Centre in Chile will also target several neighbouring Spanish-speaking countries, in particular Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia. The physical location of the Centres should ensure optimal contact with the target audience (the satellite navigation downstream industry, application developers and users).
Applicants for each lot will propose a work programme with a balanced set of these activities:
The maximum EU contribution for this call is €480,000 per each centre.
The maximum EU financing rate of eligible costs is 70%.
